Harvard citing - please help!

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if we have been given a standard way of referencing websites in our text?

I thought it was (AUTHOR, DATE, WEBSITE ADDDRESS)

However some people and some websites have said to write ONLINE or ONLINE REFERENCE instead of the website address.

Thanks

  2. Hi Laura-Beth,

I imagine the most important thing is consistency. There are so many different ways of referencing it's best to choose one and stick to it. How did you reference websites in your Project Proposal? Perhaps it's best to use the same template in this module.

As you know, the University recommends the Harvard method. Page 39 of our Professional Practice handbook (the general one; not one of the module handbooks) has a template that you can follow. This advises us to include the website address.

    Hope this helps!

  3. I was told to put the link address in, and also state that it was an online reference. Referencing in the same way as your proposal is best as that has been marked and unless you got any feedback that it was wrong, it will be the correct way to do it!

Hope this help and your project is coming along well!
